iPhone 8 Wishlist: With the release of the iPhone 7, Apple has revolutionised the concept of the smartphones. With the introduction of the Lightning Port and the waterproof technology, iPhone 7 has already taken the smartphone market by storm and fans are going absolutely gaga about the device. Now after the grand success, the tech enthusiasts are eagerly waiting for the next iteration of this coveted series, iPhone 8 to release. We have already discussed in other articles about the probable iPhone 8 release date, specs and features. In this guide, we have put some lights on what we want to see from the upcoming technological beast and what are the fans expecting the iPhone 8 to feature. So check out the iPhone 8 wishlist and we really hope all the features will be present in the handset when it will be unveiled officially.
Bigger Size & Better Resolution
Apple is not at all known for gigantic display size, like Samsung, LG and other smartphone manufacturers are. But the 4.7-inch screen size of a flagship device; looks awkward. So we hope Apple will release the iPhone 8 with a bigger screen, at least of 5-inch. Moreover, the capacitive touchscreen included in the iPhone 7 is of IPS LCD quality.
Samsung has already introduced the OLED display technique, which is far better than the IPS LCD touchscreens in terms of clarity and pixel resolution, in their flagship devices, Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. So we would be really happy if the iPhone 8 come with an OLED display.
microdSD Card Slot
This problem has plagued all the iPhones since its inception. The iPhone 7 is available in 32GB,128GB and 256GB model and many fans find the storage capacity either too low or too high according to the version they are using. So we would really like to see the iPhone 8 to feature a microSD card slot so that the users can choose the storage option according to their usage. Moreover, Apple has already started thinking to incorporate the microSD card slot in the upcoming iPad Mini 5 and iPad Pro 3, so it is not a daydream at all.
The virtual reality is the latest trend which is ruling the whole technological world currently. All the tech conglomerates are busy making their devices VR compatible and developing VR accesories. Apple is also not lagging behind and the A11 chipset, the processor which will power the upcoming iPhone 8 will also be VR compatible. So we can keep our fingers crossed and really hope for the iPhone 8 to be virtual reality compatible.
We would be more than excited if the iPhone 8 gets released with more security options, especially with the advanced biometric features such as iris scanning or facial recognition. According to the severe reports, Apple has already started working on an iris scanning feature. The Cupertino-based tech giant is sourcing iris scanning chips from Taiwan-based supplier Xintec, and Xintec has already started the mass production of the component. So we can really hope that the iPhone 8 would come with better biometric security options.
Better Camera Quality
Although every year we get to see upgrades of iPhone camera, but the smaller iPhone consistently lags a year behind the iPhone Plus. For iPhone 8, we would like to see the dual camera system that we have seen in iPhone 7 Plus which has the option to zoom. It also has the cool portrait mode that blurs the background behind a subject. As we have seen with iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, Apple might continue to boost low light capabilities in iPhone 8 too. We can also expect to see a secondary front-facing camera that is built into the display, very much like a home button.
Users would really appreciate the inclusion of dual camera features that we have seen in iPhone 7 Plus to get included in iPhone 8. It is also being reported that iPhone might use a vertical version of the dual camera that we have seen in iPhone 7 Plus, as per Macotakara.
As Apple is planning to eliminate the Home Button in the much-anticipated iPhone 8, they are thinking to include an enhanced Taptic engine as the replacement. The Taptic engine is nothing but a "high-performance motor" which is capable of "create more complex tactile vibrations." The Taptic engine would produce vibrations to denote features like the unlocking of the iPhone and the confirmation of a Touch ID payment, which is currently notified by the physical Home Button.
